Last week my best friend and I took a little spontaneous trip to Salzburg, Austria. And of course that means a Salzburg travel guide is in order. We booked it about 20 days before we flew out. And it’s fair to say it went by so quickly as suddenly, we were waking up at 4am to go to the airport. We flew with Ryanair. And as it was only about an hour and a half so there’s really not much to say. A part from thank the lord that my friend got priority boarding.

So we arrived, and made our way to the old town where our hotel was. Once we got an idea of the buses, it was plain sailing. They have an amazing bus system and it was a little ride then a walk. And we arrived.

It’d be hard to explain everything we did in this first half. But get ready for a summary in photos of such a beautiful city. With amazing old building, sites, castles overlooking the mountains, museums and the traditional Christmas markets (which I didn’t get many photos of as it was bustling constantly and I got too caught up in the ambiences of happiness, chatter and lots of gluhwien (honestly you’ve never tasted anything like it)

So this first half is going to be more of a picture diary, as my words cannot explain these sites and the magic this city has to offer. So please, enjoy…

These are from the first 2 days of our trip. And I hope the second half will be more of a informative post on what we got up to and how we got around and so forth. But I hope you enjoyed these pictures and I can’t wait for you to see the rest of our adventure to this whimsical city.

Until next time,

Em x

    Hey, Emily.
I was wondering what camera you used for these amazing photos, I’m interested in investing in another one and I love the look of these photos.
