Tomorrow people, tomorrow.
And I thought it was only fitting I do another ‘letters to Santa’ segment as Tanya’s was so lovely. So this rendition is from yours truly…
With my juvenile and somewhat irrational fear of men back when I was younger took you and I off on a rocky patch it’s fair to say. But, I’ve outgrown this so hopefully you can take this apology and you and I can start over.
It’s hard to know what to say to you, I feel a bit obnoxious listing all the things I’d like and telling you how good of a girl I’ve been. Being 18 it’s fair to say that’d be a tad weird.
And as the big day tomorrow, I think a little thank you is needed, after all your hard work these past years.
I honestly think there’s nobody like you Santa, someone so inspiring and mind boggling to children. You make people wonder, feel good, inspired, feel special; you make others act and pretend, maybe something they wouldn’t usually do at any other time of the year. You bring people together, families, colleagues, friends; you help people forget the bad things for a moment, you give them a moment to breathe. And all for what? A mince pie and some sherry?
You do so much more than orbit around our world delivering presents or coal, you do so much more. So, on my behalf for all of us, thank you. And merry Christmas.
And to all my beautiful readers, have a very merry Christmas, and if you don’t celebrate Christmas, have a wonderful day. All the best for the new year and congrats, we made it through another year!
Until next time,
