If We Were Having Coffee #7

Oh hayyy there. I’m back with another segment of my little catch up series, and a loooot has happened the past few months so I felt this was the best way to lay it all out for y’all. So grab a cuppa, and let’s chat. If we were having coffee I’d definitely go with an iced brew, how can you not in this weather??

If We Were Having Coffee Catch Up

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d probably tell you a little bit about life lately. To be honest, I’ve been going through a few of the hardest months. Due to injuries and illnesses I had to drop out of my training at drama school, and I’m honestly not sure if I’ll go to train somewhere else. So yeah, it’s kind of messed with my mental health but I’m giving myself a big old pat on the back for having some fucking strong mental and emotional stability. I never tend to float my own goat*, but I will always take pride in my positive outlook. Which is why I don’t talk about these hard months and my illness online (more on that in another post), so I’m just going to leave that there. Okay heavy stuff over.

*yes, I meant goat.

If We Were Having Coffee…On a more brighter side – I’m starting a newsletter! This is the ‘project’ I’ve been going on about on my Twitter for the past few weeks. I didn’t want it to be a newsletter about my blog, more of a community. And I want it to grow into other things (More on that later) However, don’t have a name yet. So you’ll hear more when I have a name.

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d tell you how I was kindly invited to the opening of the new Dr. Matrens shop in Westgate Oxford! So boy and I popped over for an evening of Brew Dog and tunes and we got to have a look around at some of the new collections. A big big thank you for the invite (and free beverages) we had a lovely time! If you’re Oxford based do go check it out! Here are some photos (not taken by me, I wish I had these skills…)

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d 100% go on about the weather at the moment. I’m obsessed. Spring is here and I am here for it, I’m just praying it stays. Is it just me or does the sun not boost your mood and motivation by like 110%??

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d, slightly dubiously, tell you I’m getting into marketing more. As a 19 year old it’s only in little bits here and there. But I’ve wanted to help out with social media management and influencer outreach for ages. So I have my database of bloggers if anyone needs any help! Also if you want to be added to my database hit me up.

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d tell you I’m having majoooor wanderlust right now. I think it’s a mix of the snow that was here, spending too much time on Pinterest and the fact I haven’t travelled in so long. And now I’m back home I just want to go somewhere. I’ve also decided I want to get into travel photography and really master it, so still saving for a new camera (cameras are expensive man) but hopefully I can get one soon and begin practicing.

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d tell you I’m about to rebrand my blog a little bit. I spoke about whether you should consider branding yourself as blogger in my last post. And in that I mentioned that I was branding myself. And it’s not a huge rebranding, it sounds a lot scarier than it is. I’m just getting a little makeover and working on what I want out of my blog. But I’m just poor right now.

If We Were Having Coffee…I’d tell you how I’m d-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-e to do more interior posts. Within my ‘rebranding’ process, I focused on what I wanted to put on my blog. And I definitely want to do more interior (which is hard living at home still but we’ll see); a lot more fashion and then just a whole lotta rambling and cosy posts.

So that’s all I have to catch you up on, it’s not that exciting but once again Em had nothing to post lol.

Until next time,

Em x
