If you’re of millennial age, then no doubt scrolling through your Instagram feed has become the new travel agent. No need to flick through brochures when you can scroll through and see some of the prettiest locations, and get all of your trip ideas and itineraries from people who have been there and done that. With that in mind, I thought I’d share some of the most Instagrammable places around the world, to spark your imagination. It would be great to hear what you think.
Being quite a popular country to visit of late, makes it a great spot for some of the best pictures for the ‘gram. With the Blue Lagoon, volcanoes, mountains, and waterfalls, it really is a magical looking place, that wouldn’t look too out of place with the Game of Thrones cast wandering around. Winter or summer, there are great things to see and do all year round.
Spain is full of colour, especially if you’re visiting in peak season with blue skies and not a cloud in the sky. Marbella is a luxury location in the country, though, with plenty of beautiful Insta-worthy spots. The marina in closeby Puerto Banus is full of luxury yachts and cars, as well as the stunning Marbella beaches, pools, and pretty cocktails. Even some of the apartments to rent in Marbella are perfect enough to feature on the feed, with pretty interiors and white exterior walls that just beg to have you stand by them.
Bali is simply heaven in a photograph. The sunshine, the beaches, the rice fields, and everything else outdoors there are all so stunning; it would be amazing to visit one day! Some of the best beach shots are down in the Nusa Dua region, with the best rice terrace shots in Ubud, where you can even get a snap on a swing looking out at the fields. Perfection.
Ireland is preferred for outdoor lovers that like things a little more rugged rather than pretty. Though you can still get some pretty breathtaking snaps. Killarney is a great spot for mountains and hills, that will look great with you posing by them with a water bottle and backpack in hand.
Where do you start with Italy? There are so many stunning areas for your travel photography in Italy. Rome can be a great spot, but for something a little different, then the Amalfi Coast is a beautiful area that is quite high up, with stunning views of the beaches and surrounding areas. Think of ‘The Italian Job’ and a little Fiat and you’ll be good to go.
With the bright lights and colours of the Big Apple, there is so much to see and to photograph. From the hustle and bustle of Times Square, to the quieter spots of places like Freeman’s Restaurant or El Rey Coffee House, you can get some amazing lifestyle shots. Even in winter and in the snow skating pictures in Central Park can look simply amazing.
