I say this with every month, but September bloody flew by. Maybe I’m just getting old. But anyway as the end of the month creeps up all too quickly I thought it’d be a good time to whack up a favourties post. I very rarely do these posts as I don’t try out enough stuff to justify a favourites post. But ya gals been going out and actually trying new products which I’ve fell in love with, thus a favourites post. It’s very short and sweet, I may or may not be editing it a hour before it goes live. But shall we dive right in?
FRESH UMBRIAN CLAY DEEP CLEANSING MASK
I was kindly sent this mask, simply just to try. But I had to pop it in the blog as I instantly fell in love with it. I’m not someone to spend money on skincare. As this I believe is around the £50 mark. However this may have changed my mind for me. I mean I’m a sucker for a good clay mask anyway, they’re perfect for a good old pamper at the end of the week to draw out all the dirt from your face. But this mask just made my face feel brand new, it did sting a little going on but in a good way – it felt like it was just activating and getting into my pores. And you only need to leave it on for 3-5 minutes before you wash it off. I do sometimes leave it on longer (mainly because I forget I have it on lol). But it dries very quickly and is so easy to take off. And apparently you can just use it as a cleanser or a deep treatment on more problem areas. And my skin feels so fresh and tight and cleansed after using it – I would highly recommend.
MEASURABLE DIFFERENCE OILS
I have 2 oils I’ve been loving from measurable difference. The first is the Amaranth oil, which has cute flowers in – how fancy. It’s described as a aromatherapy oil which you pop on to help hydrate your skin. You can use it on your face and body and it’s also suggested you put it on aching muscles. I only pop it on once a week but it’s so relaxing and nice on your skin and I also tried it on my muscles. As I have very achey muscles, and it works a dream for before bed to settle them and especially on your neck. However it’s not a permanent solution.
I also have the argan oil. This is an instant face & body moisturizer to give you a healthy glow. Again, I only use this once a month but again it’s so nice for a pamper evening to give a bit of a treatment. I also pop a few drops on this into the bath to moisturise my body and it also smells fab so it’s a win win. Both oils were about £4/5 from Homesense which is such a bargain, and for such a multi purpose product you can’t go wrong for that price.
COLLECTION PRIME & READY
I’m the sort of person who avoids buying a new makeup product because I don’t like spending money on makeup. Like, I didn’t choose this potato life. But I’ve been in need of a primer for months now and so basically popped into Boots and picked the first (and cheapest) one I saw. And it just so happens to be uh-mazing. It’s a matte pore minimising primer (which I need) and you only need a little bit as it spreads across the face like a dream. It also sticks around all day which for £4.99 is so good.
ANKLE BOOTS
I treated myself to a new pair of ankle boots in September as mine are dying. And I live in boots in the autumn time. I bought these heeled ankle boots from New Look the other week and instantly fell in love, which was no surprise. I actually bought these because they have a pointed toe, which is a necessity for me. They just flatter my big old feet better. They’ve got a nice heel in the sense they can be a dressy boot for a night out or a date night look, but can also be popped with a top and jeans for a casual look. And for only £27?? How can you not get these??
DARK TOURIST
Ooo, a lifestyle one for ya. But if you haven’t heard of the Netflix documentary series “Dark Tourist” give it a look. It’s basically looking into dark tourism in different parts of the world and what attracts people to it. I did find they tried to push their luck a bit too much which stressed me out. But all in all it’s a super interesting series to watch and I would highly recommend. However it is highly addictive so beware as next thing you know you’ll be sat in bed at 2am very deep into this series.
And onto October I guess, scary thought eh. But I won’t lie I’m ready for wooly jumpers and chai lattes. However not looking forward to no natural lighting hence the moody photos. Anyways, what have you been loving in September?
