Hello you lovely lot!
If you remember quite a while ago now, I wrote a little post mentioning I was giving my bedroom a little glow up. Well the past few months have consisted of me scrolling on Pinterest. Then going to a shop, spending about 45 minutes walking in circles wondering whether to buy something or not. Then usually walking out saying ‘I’ll have a look online’. And the cycle continues. That was before the lovely people at Banbury Gateway Shopping Park invited me to add some Autumnal touches to my room.
Interiors and autumn = the way to my heart.
So the other day I popped over and did my favourite form of exercise, shopping. And somehow resisted buying anything resembling Christmas. However got a few lovely bits to add some cosy Autumn touches to my room. Banbury Gateway left me spoilt for choice, when it comes to interiors they have a Next, M&S, Primark and more to suit all budgets and styles! I actually bought everything from M&S, which I wasn’t expecting. However they have some lovely, stylish bits to suit all styles and ages.
As like everything, I’m all about the neutrals and minimal aesthetics. I’m also a big plant mum. And although I managed to refrain from buying an actual plant (shock horror I know). I did get this lovely faux flower in a glass jar. Not only did the blogger in me like it for photography props. I don’t have many flowers in my room within the many succulents, and the pink brightens up the space in the bleaker days. Also, for £7.50 it’s a lovely inexpensive feature!
Something I couldn’t resist buying – candles. I mean what even is autumn without candles? And M&S had an amazing selection, from fruity, floral and festive. I was very excited to see their apothecary range, as I love evenings reserved for books and wine, accompanied by a calming smelling candle. And their Balance one is perfect. It’s got notes of guaicwood, geranium, black pepper, jasmine and cinnamon leaf so has a really nice autumnal smell. But it’s also not too powerful and perfect to light whilst you’re winding down at the end of the day.
I also picked up this lovely Fig candle front their Library of Scent range. Which smells so fresh and autumnal, the perfect scent for this time of year. And it comes in this rather fancy and aesthetically pleasing bell jar. It makes a minimal, sleek candle into more of a decor piece and its such a lovely embellishment to a coffee table, mantle piece or bookshelf. Of course you could use the bell jar separately and make a cosy autumnal ornament by adding fairy lights under it or popping over some flowers/plants. And, if we’re thinking Christmas presents (you know I am), this is a perfect gift for someone!
Finally, we’re talking bedding. A key component of some cosy vibes in your bedroom. And I had been looking to spruce my all white bedding for a while. Nothing too colourful or loud, but still aesthetically pleasing and cosy. And although I’m reluctant to believe it, 4 blankets and throws might be enough for now. Even for autumn. But I found this bee cushion for only £15 and, although I guess bees are a summer thing, I love the minimal and simple touch. And it just adds another homly, soft element to my bed for those evenings of wine and films. Now I’ve just got to learn to make my bed…
So that’s my little autumnal re-vamp to my bedroom! I’ve got a few more plans for my room so stay tuned. And have a good week chums!
