PARTYWEAR OUTFIT INSPIRATION

December is flying by. Damn. But hey there, today I’ve got a post I’ve been super excited to write. I’m sharing some partywear outfit inspiration. Whether it’s for your work do, girls drinks or big New Years bash – figuring out outfits is always a 3 hour+ ordeal (for me at least). And I love reading posts like this, so here I am with 2 outfit ideas to give you a little head-start, so you can spend more time sipping cocktails and enjoying the night.

OUTFIT #1 – JEANS AND A NICE TOP

We all get invited to those evening drinks with your colleagues or friends where it’s that awkward smart-casual dress code. So you find yourself 20 messages deep in a group chat debating what to wear. And then the responses are 90% ‘just jeans and a nice top’. So here is my favourite ‘jeans and a nice top’ outfit for the party season. And is perfect for those smart-casual moments.

Satin shirts have suddenly become a thing at the moment, and I’m loving it. I’m not one to experiment with textures but I do love me a bit of satin. This satin jacquard shirt from Boohoo is perfect as the jacquard adds a little detail to the top. I chose it in black because, well, I never wear colour. But they also do it in a beautiful champagne colour and a rust colour (might have to get one in each colour ngl). I’ve just paired it with my beloved ASOS petite jeans and a western style belt from ASOS to add some more detailing and separate the two black items a little. And then to keep the western theme going I’ve added my silver western boots, which are sadly from a year ago so aren’t around however there are some similar ones here.

I usually like to deck outfits like this out with jewellery, however I decided just to add my Missoma shark tooth necklace from their collection with Lucy Williams. I also add my usual rings but they’re pretty tarnished these days so aren’t the most photogenic things.

OUTFIT #2 – GLITZ & GLAM

Now an outfit for the big shimmery New Years party. I don’t tend to get dressy for things but New Years seems like a good excuse, right? And I’ve found an absolute bargain of a dress for this party season. This sparkly number is from H&M for a whopping £12.99 – you can always rely on H&M for those little gems. It’s got a very deep plunge so might not be one for family parties, but if you’re heading out with your gal pals you can’t go wrong with it!

added some lace up heels, again are old (and chewed by my dog lol) so here are some similar ones. and I also just added this beautiful Orelia crescent layered necklace to add a pop of colour and some details. I also matched this bag from New Look with the outfit as it’s the perfect size to fit everything you need in and looks very swarve with it. If at this point you’re thinking ‘yeah okay nice outfit but I’d take someones eye out with my nipple from the cold in this’ then just add a teddy coat or faux fur jacket to add different textures and finish the look.

I hope you liked these ideas – the photography was done by the extremely talented Stacy White. I thought I’d pop a a few more ideas for your outfit this party season. Happy partying ya filthy animals.

Maybe it’s just me, but I think that black jeans always a add a bit of classiness to any look! Oooh H&M, why’ve I not thought of going there already?! I’ve got a fancy party to attend a couple of days before Christmas day, and I still haven’t found a dress yet, will definitely be going to H&M x
