If there’s one obsession I will never lose, it’d my jewellery obsession. A good piece of jewellery can complete any outfit and make you feel fancy af. So here I am writing a post dedicated to jewellery. From my favourite jewellery trends to where to buy affordable but quality jewellery. So you can also feel fancy af without breaking the bank. Shall we begin?
I love me a good layered number, it creates a really nice statement piece. And having the different shapes and layers is just quite eye pleasing. A lot of the time you can buy layered necklaces, but I personally prefer mixing up single necklaces I have. Or if I buy a layered necklace I’ll get all DIY on it and make them separate necklaces. It just gives you more options, and I’m picky. But layered necklaces are perfect for deep necklines for that fancier look or just for a good Insta.
Stacking rings have become more and more of a trend over the years and I’m here for it. It’s a lovely minimal touch. Plus I’m a ring addict. Just add some simple rings and stack them to create more of a dimension, to give you fancy sassy hands perfect for all occasions. I also think stacking rings are a nice touch if say you work in an office or something a bit more hands on, where statement rings can be a bit inconvenient. So they’re perfect for adding some character to your workwear, or detail to your date night dress.
Whenever I talk about trends, minimalism always pops up. I just have a less is more taste, even when it comes to adding layers. I think especially for casual wear a nice little minimal charm goes a long way just to add some detail. Me being me loves a bohemian charm, I live in my Hamsa hand necklace from BohoMoon. But more recently I’ve not stopped wearing this Om necklace from JewelleryBox. It’s sterling silver which I love as it means it won’t tarnish, so if you accidentally wear it in the shower there’s no need to worry! Also just look how pretty it is!
I’ve had to slowly get myself into this idea. But I’ve come to love mixing my metals to create a different look. I’ve always been so strict on keeping my jewellery within their metals, for a uniformed look. However mixing minimal jewellery creates a lovely glow and a bit of a rustic look. It looks especially good with rings and bracelets.
So, as to where I buy my jewellery from. I always test and try different shops but my I’ve got two go tos. Firstly, ASOS. ASOS slays it with all sorts of clothing and accessories I swear. They are the online retail kings and that’s that. They sell a lot of different styles of jewellery at a large price range – so you’re bound to find something for you. They’re probably also one of the trendiest for jewellery, they like to add quirky and vintage pieces which I love.
JewelleryBox is another fave of mine. They do such high quality products at really good prices. And there’s a piece for everyone on their website! They kindly sent me some bits for this post, but I wanted to say I do genuinely love and buy from them. And I’ve got my eyes on this necklace next. Their sterling silver products are amazing quality and won’t give you the green skin or rust, and they have such pretty designs!
I also shop a lot at Accessorize which is always good for affordable quality products. And more recently have become a lot more ranged with their styles. To suit all ages, and their ‘Z for Accessorize’ range is so beaut! If you’re looking for an affordable indie brand, BohoMoon is also a must. Granted my gold neckalce tarnished quickly, but it’s affordable so you really can’t complain. But they do some beautiful on trend pieces, perfect to get some aesthetically pleasing snaps.
