If you follow me over on my Instagram, you might have seen that last week Zeb and I packed our bags and headed over to London to spend a night with Point A Hotels at their new Liverpool Street hotel. If you know me, I love a cheeky staycation and I love exploring the UK. And despite going to London a lot for shoots, I’ve not been just for a leisurely trip in a while so it was nice not to worry about being at a certain place at a certain time and rushing around.
The hotel was about a 10 minute walk away from Liverpool Street station. So it’s super convenient if you’re there for business or between travels. The hotel staff were very welcoming when we arrived and gave us all the info we need and the check in process was quick and easy. I’d say it’s a nice balance between having a comfy B&B feel, and being a simple and practicle hotel. So perfect for if you’re visiting for a weekend to explore London, or if you’re here for business reasons. And there’s lots of hotels all over London in great & convenient locations with prices starting at around £50 so there’ll be something for everyone.
As for the rooms, they’re super comfy, modern and stylish. We had a good time playing around with the mood lighting (easily pleased, I know…). The rooms are kitted out with hypnos beds, bathrooms with a power shower, free wifi, a smart TV, a hair dryer, air con and more. The hotel also has a buffet breakfast with a seating area, and also a coffee garden which was the perfect breakfast setting. It felt like I was out of London and back in the countryside. There’s also an ironing room, so if you are here for that important meeting, you’re covered.
One thing I also wanted to mention was what Point A are doing for the environment. Instead of cleaning the room every single day, they clean them every 3 days if you’re staying a little longer. They will always help out if something needs doing earlier, but in reality nobody needs new sheets everyday. The same goes for towels, there’s a hook to put your towels on to tell the staff your towels don’t need washing. But if they need changing, just pop them on the floor – simple as that! They also use multi use shower products to reduce plastic waste. So your stay is sustainable but not at all compromised!
As for what we got up to, we decided to have a more laid back visit. We went to get some early dinner of pizza and beer. As it’s close to Shoreditch we headed there in search for some cocktails bars to situate ourselves in. And then basically headed back to the hotel to wrap up in a duvet burrito and watch a bit of Black Mirror. Checkout was at 11am (however they said we could stay until 2pm). So the next morning we grabbed a bit of breakfast before packing up and heading home. I’m a big fan of a buffet breakfast, it was the usuals of cereal, pastries, fruit, yoghurt etc. But I honestly think you can’t beat it.
All in all I’d highly recommend Point A for short stays. They’ve got all you need and are such a good price for the atmosphere you get. Massive thank you to Point A for inviting us to stay!

This place looks amazing! Casually sat here drooling over your breakfast at 10pm… I love the outdoor area, that doesn’t feel like London at all! As for the environmental aspect, that’s great! I wish more hotels did that x

Can’t beat a good breakfast! I know right, as do I, even if you’re just staying for a night or two it’s nice to feel out of the city a bit x
Sounds/looks like a lovely lil hotel. I love that they’re making an effort to be more sustainable as well – how fab is that?!
