{contains gifted products} I love independent businesses, I also love hearing what they are doing to be that little bit more sustainable. It’s not as easy for small businesses to be sustainable due to cost, accessibility etc. So it is always appreciated when they do go that extra mile.

@cairnandgrace are one of these businesses. They sell the most gorgeous prints which are made and packaged in sustainable packaging. They are also working on a ‘print to order’ system which will help reduce waste.

Shopping small is more important than ever this year, and whether you have a birthday coming up or just want some lovely new home decor I really recommend checking out @cairnandgrace 🤍

Happy #SlowFashionSeason and #FashionDetox !! It’s a great way to be more conscious about your consumption and rediscover what you already own.

It can sound daunting to not buy any new clothes for 3 months but it’s a lot easier than it seems. It also means different things to everyone, for me it is wearing what I already own and making sure everything I own will be worn at least 30 times. For others it can be exploring second hand shopping and rented clothing, upcycling clothesor even making their own clothes.

But ultimately it’s great to help you rediscover what you love to wear, and to find a new way of buying clothes.

Living in linen this summer 🤍

Something I’ve learnt to do more when searching for second hand clothing is consider the material. Linen is often a great option for the summer as it’s such a breathable material, and is also so sturdy and durable, meaning it’s going to last me a long time compared to other materials.

As it’s a natural fibre it’s much more sustainable, which will break down naturally and requires very little water to make.
